18 Mar 5-Hour Energy Racing Lays Rubber with a New Site
The 5-Hour Energy Racing team is rolling out its new site – a sleek, tweaked and ready rock machine that will keep racing fans’ pistons pumping and exhausts roaring through the 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Season with racing news, driver updates, race weekend photos, fan contests and big prizes.
5-Hour Energy Racing is now in its third Nationwide season with young pilot, Steve Wallace at the helm of the new #66 Toyota Camry, and the crew felt that it was only proper to complement the new car with a fresh, high-energy team site that will reward fans.
Competition is the bread and butter of NASCAR, from taking qualifying on the pole, to leading the first lap, winning the race and spinning the most donuts after victory. Since NASCAR fanatics enjoy competition just as much as the drivers, the 5-Hour Energy Racing team has a Contest page for racing buffs to become contenders and win big, Daytona big!
The Racing Scavenger Hunt Contest asks the high-octane visitors to search the 5-Hour Energy site for 15 race car tokens. Each token is accompanied by a code number and a code word that they keep track of on the contest entry form. When all the tokens are found, the contestant submits their form and is entered to win a one-year supply of 5-Hour Energy shots. The contest closes on April 30, 2010.
Like the races, personal endurance in the long haul will get them to victory lane, and the Weekly Race Results Contest is a determination of that stamina. Contestants will have to list the position that the #66 5-Hour Energy car finished in for every week through Oct. 23. If they have the staying power to last the 2010 season and the focus to find and enter the correct finishing positions, they’ll be entered to win the End of the Season Race Package for Two to the final race in Miami, including airfare and hotel! The catch is that race results need to be entered within two weeks of the race completion, after which that race’s contest entry period will be closed.
NASCAR addicts and 5-Hour Energy fans alike can stay up-to-date with Series and team highlights and news throughout the Nationwide race schedule as the Series travels across America for the next nine months. This is also a great place for contenders to keep ahead of the competition on race results and new contests.
Because pictures are worth 1,000 words and can take fans beyond a lengthy race article, the 5-Hour Energy Racing Gallery is updated weekly with race weekend images captured from the moment the 5-Hour Energy big rig parks in the paddock to the time it strolls on to the next asphalt battleground.
The new 5-Hour Energy Racing site is just another facet of the all-inclusive 5-Hour Energy experience the team gives fans, which includes a fan-focused Facebook page, conversational Twitter account and informational racing Blog.
