14 Apr Darlington Race Report
No. 15 5-hour ENERGY Toyota driver Clint Bowyer finished 12th in Saturday night’s 500-mile NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Darlington Raceway. The Michael Waltrip Racing driver started 16th and like many on the 1.336-mile track he reported a loose-handling race car. After several rounds of adjustments Bowyer worked his way into the top-10 by lap 200. As the track cooled, Bowyer found the handling and in the closing laps he climbed as high as seventh. However the No. 15 fell to 12th in the final green-white-checkered finish. The No.15 5-hour ENERGY Toyota team will enjoy an off weekend before returning to action April 26 at Richmond International Raceway.

BOWYER: “Man, that was a tough night for the 5-hour ENERGY Toyota. We were really loose all night. My guys got us pretty decent at the end over those final cautions. I thought we were going to grab a top-10 but we just got shuffled back on the final restart.”
