No. 15 Willie’s Duck Diner Toyota driver Clint Bowyer finished eighth in Monday’s 500-mile NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway. The Michael Waltrip Racing driver started 25th and quickly moved to the front. He climbed into the top 10 by lap 85 and the top five by lap 125. With 76 laps remaining, Bowyer dropped from fifth to 15th after a penalty for a missing lug nut forced an extra pit stop. Bowyer charged from the back of the lead lap cars but ran out of laps finishing eighth when the checkered flag fell.
