23 Jun Make the Most Out Of Your Summer Camping Trip
Camping can be a ton of fun. Getting out from the four corners of your cubicle and away from the bustle and grind of everyday life helps refresh and relax your mind and body. From what to pack to fun things to do, we have a handful of tips, activities and recipes for you to try on your next camping trip.
Camping is all about the great outdoors. Ditch the high heels and the uncomfortable suits and trade them for your comfortable clothes! It’s important to pack enough clothes in case of emergencies, like a downpour or cold weather, but don’t over pack. We suggest packing a pair of running or hiking shoes so you can be active and enjoy Mother Nature while you’re away. Bug spray is also a must and don’t forget sunscreen! You will also want to throw in a bottle of 5-hour ENERGY® for a boost after those late nights around the camp fire.
Get up and get moving! There are a ton of fun activities to do while you’re camping. Have fun with a friendly game of Frisbee golf or find a group to toss around a football. If you’re near the mountains or trails, hiking is a great option to enjoy the scenery of the great outdoors. Do you have a campsite near water? Cool off by swimming or boating, or choose to take it easy near the water’s edge and toss your fishing line in.
Real cooks use fire, or so we’ve heard! You’re in luck because you can cook almost anything on the campfire, just as long as you have the proper ingredients and utensils. For instance, a cast iron skillet and your favorite ingredients allow you to cook up nutritious breakfasts to keep you fueled throughout the day, as well as delicious dinners to enjoy after a day of fun. Packing spices like salt, garlic powder and pepper can be easy if you put them in empty 5-hour ENERGY® bottles! Roasting hot dogs over the fire makes for a quick lunchtime meal. And how could we forget about the famous s’mores dessert? Make an authentic s’mores with a stick and roast your marshmallow to perfection. After it’s cooked, place your marshmallow and a few chocolate bars between two golden Graham crackers for a sweet treat.
