I host a morning radio show so I need to be up around 4:00 AM and I need to be awake by the time I hit the airwaves at 5:30 AM. I’m a bit of night owl, though, and sometimes stay up later than I should to spend time with my wife or play video games. I like to drink coffee but if I don’t prep my coffee maker the night before, I’m not having coffee in the morning. Plus I can’t just down two cups of coffee without scalding my tongue and throat. I’m not thirsty enough, nor do I have the stomach to consume a 16 oz. energy drink. All the sugar makes my stomach upset, and some energy drinks make my chest hurt. About a year ago a friend at work introduced me to 5-Hour Energy. I was skeptical at first but it worked great. I now keep 5-Hour Energy in my desk as back up. So now if I get up and am dead tired I grab a 5-Hour Energy, do my morning show, then go about programming the radio station. Then when I’m done with work I still have energy to go to the gym, pick up my brother’s kids from school and still be awake by the time my wife gets home. 5-Hour Energy taste good and is easy on my stomach. The fact that it only has four calories is major plus. Thanks for keeping me awake 5-Hour Energy!
