Race Summary
Clint Bowyer Race Summary: No. 15 5-hour ENERGY Toyota driver Clint Bowyer finished seventh in Sunday’s 400-mile NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Michigan International Speedway. Bowyer started 13th and worked his way into the top 10 by the first caution on lap two. Bowyer remained in the top-10 for virtually the entire race and worked his way to the lead by lap 165. Bowyer pitted for fuel only with 30 laps remaining and returned to the racetrack in sixth position. He battled a loose handing condition in the closing laps, but was able to wheel the No. 15 to seventh place by the checkered flag. Bowyer has three straight top-10 finishes. The No. 15 5-hour ENERGY Toyota team returns to action next weekend on the road course at Sonoma.

BOWYER QUOTE: “We had a better car than where we finished -- I think. We just got a little bit behind on that next-to-last run. It was just really hard to pass. There, midway through the race, I thought I was pretty good. Just came up short -- we’ll have to go after them next week.”
