Top-10 Again for 5-Hour Energy at Fontana

5-Hour Energy Racing driver Steve Wallace brought home another impressive performance in the #66 Toyota Camry with a sixth place finish in the Stater Bros. 300.

This week’s Top-10 at Auto Club Speedway is Wallace’s second consecutive for the season and keeps the momentum going for the 5-Hour Energy crew.

Wallace started the weekend with a fast car. He posted the fourth fast time of 41.222 seconds (174.664 MPH) during Friday’s practice and was one of only five that to make it into the top-ten in both of the day’s practice sessions. When it came to qualifying, Wallace got the 5-Hour Energy car within striking position for the big show with a 12-place grid position.

After the two hours and six minutes of racing, 12 lead changes ,and four cautions, Wallace had moved up to sixth place just behind pole-sitter Joey Logano. Wallace and his 5-Hour Energy Camry are headed to Sin City for the Sam’s Town 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway sitting solid in seventh for the NASCAR Nationwide championship.
