Answers to common questions about 5-hour ENERGY
Regular Strength 5-hour ENERGY® shots contain 200mg – about as much caffeine as 8 ounces of the leading premium coffee.
Extra Strength 5-hour ENERGY® shots contain 230mg – about as much caffeine as 12 ounces of the leading premium coffee.
5-hour ENERGY® drinks contain 230 mg of caffeine -- about as much as 12 ounces of the leading premium coffee. That’s the same amount as an Extra Strength 5-hour ENERGY shot.
Many of the ingredients are the same. Both shots have caffeine, niacin, and vitamins B-6 and B-12, as well as the famous 5-hour ENERGY “energy blend.” However, the amounts vary. A Regular Strength 5-hour ENERGY shot contains 30mg of niacin, 40mg of B-6 and 500mcg of B-12. It also has 200mg of caffeine and 1870mg of the energy blend formula. An Extra Strength 5-hour ENERGY shot has 40mg of niacin, 230mg caffeine and 2,000mg of energy blend. The amounts of B-6 and B-12 are the same in both shots.
