The New Secret Ingredient in Sweet-Flavored Mocktails

Earlier this month, 5-hour ENERGY® hosted a Dry January media event to mark the nationwide launch of three new flavors — Cotton Candy, Fruity Rainbow, and Confetti Craze.
The event allowed media and influencers to sample these new flavors in a fun way – via some unique, mouth-watering mocktails developed by Tim Sweeney, Beverage Director at Pebble Bar NYC. The mocktail recipes — including a Cotton Candy Spritz, Strawberry Rainbow Lemonade and Confetti Cake Break — showcase one of the ways these new flavors can be enjoyed.
5-hour ENERGY® founder and CEO, Manoj Bhargava, attended and noted how good the new flavors (and mocktails) tasted in this interview with Parade – “These mocktails are really good. While it originally took us a few years to get the flavor right… now, with this, it’s a whole new level!”
The Three New Flavors
Each of the newly launched flavors draws inspiration from familiar sweet profiles:

Cotton Candy features a light, sweet flavor inspired by the classic carnival treat.

Fruity Rainbow blends a mix of fruit flavors reminiscent of popular fruity candies.

Confetti Craze is modeled after birthday cake, combining vanilla notes with a sweet finish.
There’s definitely a nostalgic feeling to them. Men’s Journal noted – “Some flavors don’t just taste good, they transport you in time and place.”
All three flavors are available in Extra Strength 5-hour ENERGY® shots, which contain 230 mg of caffeine, B vitamins and amino acids. Like the rest of the brand’s 17 flavors of tasty caffeine lineup, they are sugar-free and contain zero calories.
The flavors, which were previously released as limited-time offerings, are now available at retailers across the U.S. and online. “These sweet flavors absolutely crushed it as limited drops, and fans everywhere made it clear—they wanted them back for good,” said Leah Key, President of Living Essentials, LLC, maker of 5-hour ENERGY® products.
